Five students volunteered to carry boxes. There are 62 boxes. Is it possible for each student to carry the same number of boxes and have all the boxes carried?

Since we have given that

Total number of boxes = 62

Total number of students = 5

And we are asked to check that each student must carry the same number of boxes and have all the boxes carried.

For this 62 must be completely divisible by 5 without any remainder,

But we know that ,


(62)/(5)=12.4

12 bags each student can carry but 2 bags gets remain.

So, it is not possible for each student to carry the same number of boxes and have all the boxes carried.
