slope =
(1)/(2)

to calculate the slope m use the gradient formula

m = ( y₂ - y₁ ) / (x₂ - x₁ )

with (x₁, y₁ ) = (- 4, 0 ) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (2, 3)

m =
(3-0)/(2+4) =
(3)/(6) =
(1)/(2)

you would use the form y2-y1/x2-x1 so in this case it would be 3-0/2+4 which would be 3/6 but simplify your answer and you get would be 1/2 so your answer is 1/2
