This Buddhism has the condition of being a mixed culture with both Chinese and steppe culture elements.

This period of time (between the Han and the Sui dynasties) is known as the Period of Disunity. It took place until 589. During this time the territory was dominated by three warring kingdoms.

Because of the war, a migratory wave started. A lot of nomadic cultures relocate in the north of China, for example, the steppe populations. In this groups, some of the people were Buddhists
