Solve the word problem. The formula d = rt gives the distance traveled in time t at rate r. A bicyclist rides at a constant rate of 15 miles per hour. How many miles will she travel in 3.5 hours ?

correct answer above. substitute and multiply since you know the rate or r and you know the time or t then use d=rt to find the distance. don't think too hard on this stuff it'll come to you don't give up.
