How do you solve this equation?

5-3z-18= z-1+ 8z

First, you have to combine like terms so -13-3z=9z-1 ; Then you have to do the variables so -13=12z-1 or -13-12z=-1 ; Next, you have to do the constant numbers so -12=12z or 12z=-12 ; Finally you divide so -12/12z = z=-1
