The three branches of government consist of the "legislative, executive, and judicial branch." These branches are the government they use a thing called checks and balances to insure that one branch doesn't get more powerful then the other. Legislative is in charge of making laws, executive is in charge of interpreting them, and judicial is in charge of enforcing them.
