If I had 54 sweets and shared 30 sweets each between 2 friends and brought 47 more sweets to add on to my remaining sweets, how many sweets can I share out now?

Total before any math was made: 54

54 - 30 = 24

24 + 47 = 71

71 ÷ 2 = 35.5

35.5 rounded to the nearest whole number = 40

Or if that isnt the correct answer Just forget the rounding part at the end. Hope this helped. Good luck!

ok, let's break this down a bit. 54 sweets minus 30 sweets is 24 sweets

30 sweets divided by 2 is 15 sweets

24 sweets plus 47 sweets is equal to 71 sweets

if you are still sharing these sweets in between the 2 friends, we can only divide 70 sweets in 2 because 71 is not an even number

70 sweets divided by 2 is 35 sweets

35 sweets plus 15 sweets is 50 sweets

each friend gets 50 sweets with one left over.
