An autobiography is a self-written book about a person's life (the author writes a book about himself)
Characteristics of an autobiography:
Usually written in 1st person: autobiographies are written by a person about their own life, therefore they use I, me, and my when writing.
They usually contain a Chronology: A chronology is usually listed in the back of the book, listing the important dates and events on that date
