Carbohydrates (sugar) are the largest source of energy in the living organisms. But carbohydrates can only be synthesized by the green plants because green plants have cell organelles chloroplasts. within chloroplasts, chlorophyll pigments are present which has ability absorb solar energy and using that energy plants can make carbohydrate from carbon dioxide and water.
