`2x-5y=-8°+18°`

Sum of interior angles is 180°


`(x+41°)+(2x-18°)+(5y-8°)=180°`

`3x+5y+15°=180°`


`3x+5y=165° \: ...(2)`

Equation (2)+(1) gives


`5x=175°`
Divide through by 5.

`x=35°`

Substitute x=35° in equation (1)


`2(35°)-5y=10°`

`- 5y=10° - 70 \degree`


`- 5y= - 60°`

Divide through by -5.
