The base angles of isosceles PQR are equal,

Hence,

2x -18°=5y-8°

2x-5y=-8°+18°

2x-5y=10° \: .....(1)

Sum of interior angles is 180°

(x+41°)+(2x-18°)+(5y-8°)=180°

3x+5y+15°=180°

3x+5y=165° \: ...(2)

Equation (2)+(1) gives

5x=175°
Divide through by 5.

x=35°

Substitute x=35° in equation (1)

2(35°)-5y=10°

- 5y=10° - 70 \degree

- 5y= - 60°

Divide through by -5.

y=12°
