Remember, the formula of a square is
s^(2). If I half x,
(x/2)^(2) is the new formula. Because the exponent is around the varialbe(x/2), both are squares. Therefore, the formula is
x^(2) /ide 4.

Therefore, the new area is B: a quarter of the original.
