Answer : Ages of Nicole , Sheila and Steve will be 6 years , 14 years and 20 years respectively .

Step-by-step explanation:

We have given that ,

Let Nicole's age be x

Let Sheila's age be 2x+2

Let Steve's age = 5x-10

According to question,

Sum of first two ages will be same as the age of Steve's age

So,

i.e.
x+2x+2=5x-10\\3x+2=5x-2\\12=5x-3x\\12=2x\\6=x

∴ The age of Nicole will be 6 years

Sheila's age will be 2x+2 = 2×6+2 = 12+2 = 14 years

Steve's age will be 5x-10 = 5×6-10 = 30-10 = 20 years.
