A block of wood has the dimensions 50.00cm x 10.00cm x 5.00cm. A student determined its volume to be 2490cm³ by measuring the volume of water displaced by the block when it was immersed in water. What is the percent error in the student's determination of the volume? Make sure it is in correct sig figs.

Volume of the wood = 50 * 10 * 5

= 2500 cm^3

Difference between this and students result

= 2500 - 2490 = 10 cm^3

Percent error = 10 * 100 / 2500

= 0.4 % answer
