please help me...I tried to work it out but I could not figure it out.

They were supposed to add 2y not subract, -(-2y)=2y

The error is made when the equation multiplies -2 and -y and comes out with the answer -2y.

-2(7-y) + 4 = -4

-14 + 2y + 4 = -4

2y = -4 + 14 - 4

y = 3
