Researchers find that people who spend more time watching television spend less time reading. (Yeah, big surprise.) What kind of correlation does this study illustrate?

We are talking about a negative correlation, since the increase in one variable (time of watching TV) results in a corresponding decrease in the other variable (reading time). To know if it is a linear or curvilinear correlation, we need to have a deeper study of the variables, meanwhile, with the previous information we can suppose that it is linear.
