The Connecticut Compromise commonly known as the Great Compromise of 1787, was a combination of the ideologies presented by Virginia and the New Jersey plan. This in part set the legislative structure and representation that each state would have under the Constitution of the United States. This compromise established two senators for each State, It placed a Bicameral authority by the House of Representatives of the United States, elected by the American people, and the equality of votes to each state was provided by the Senate.
