If u wanted to shift the graph of y=3x=8 down,which equation could you use

I'm assuming you mean't y = 3x + 8

If we wanted to shift it down, lets say by 3 points, we could instead use y = 3x + 5

Just subtract from the 8 to lower the graph, as that represents the y-intercept.
