In your second paragraph, provide evidence from the text of Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass that supports this main idea: Hypocrisy in religion is used to justify slavery. Clearly explain how the evidence you found supports the main idea.

Evidence to that can be found all around the world, specially some years ago when slavery wasn't aborted in many countries. Hypocrisy in this case, would be from the people that slaved to the slaves, since they don't agree religiously, because they have different religions and beliefs.

And that is why, in early times, people that where religious and contributed a lot (with money) could have slaves and do all sorts of things wihtout being accused by anything.

What he means by saying "Hypocrisy in religion is used to justify slavery" because most people back then were white and they were racist about black people . They though all they could do was work and work some more. Then when slavery finally ended most black people excelled in almost everything.
