I believe the answer is:C. People with few friends should be more likely to commit crimes

Number of friends usually consistent with lesser chance of depression and higher chance of obtaining help during troubles. Even though this may not applicable all the time, We can assume that people with lesser friends are more likely to experience the opposite, which increase the potential to be criminals.
