Confucianism and Daoism: E. Originated as responses to societal problems during times of disruption.

Daoism stresses life’s simple natural existence while Confucianism manifests the transcendent ideals, social values and institutions of long-established Chinese society. Daoism was founded by Laozi and Confucianism was founded by Kongzi.
