A cereal company recently redesigned their box. The old box had a volume of 162.5 square inches. The new box is 12 inches long, 7.5 inches wide, and 2.5 inches deep. Does the newer or older box have a larger volume to store cereal? Explain your answer.

The newer box has a larger volume.

The formula is LxWxH

So

7.5 * 2.5 = 18.75
Then

18.75 * 12 = 225

225 > 162.5
HOPE THIS HELPS!!!
