A discounted concert ticket is $14.50 less than the original price (p). You pay $53 for a discounted ticket. I need to find the original price, but im just looking for help on setting up the equation not solving.

$53+$14.50=p, i dont know if i simplified it too much but its because the discounted price is $53, and since its $14.50 less than the original price, you would add them together. Another equation that's less simplified is: p-$14.50=$53
