5. if 6 movie passes is $42, then to get the cost of one pass we do 42/6 = $7

for the 2nd part, we know what if single tickets are $10, and we are looking at 6 tickets, buying 6 seperate tickets is $60. However, it only costs $42 for the deal. 60 - 42 = $18

6.

To cross multiply something you take the top of one fraction and multiply it with the bottom of another, then the bottom of the first fraction with the top of the other. So in this case, 1.95 * x / 1 * 10.00 = 1

After you solve for x by multiplying by 10 and dividing by 1.95, you get it to be you can buy 5.128 or rounded 5 pounds
