Solution:

we are given that

An Area can be washed at a rate of 3100 cm^2/minute.

we have been asked to find how many square inches can be washed per hour?

So here we will have to do the convesrion. As we know that

1inche=2.54cm

Also we know that
1 Hr=60 minutes.

So substitute these vales as below:

3100(cm^2)/(minute) =3100((1/2.54 inches)^2)/(1/60 Hr) \\ \\ 3100(cm^2)/(minute) =3100*((1)/(2.54))^2* 60(Inches^2)/(Hr)\\  \\ 3100(cm^2)/(minute) \approx 28830(Inches^2)/(Hr)\\
