China was not on the side of the Germans, they declared war on Germany on August 14, 1917. So it's not the Axis Powers, or the Triple Alliance, it has to be the Triple Entente

China joined the side of the (A) triple entente during World War I.

The Triple Entente was an alliance formed between France, the United Kingdom and the Russian Empire to protect themselves from Germany, which was becoming a strong economic power in Europe since Germany had formed an alliance with Italy and Austria-Hungary in 1882. However, other nations such as China, Japan, the United States and Portugal joined the side of the Triple Entente in order to control Germany's power.
