The line from the wire on the top of the Tv tower to the ground is the hypotenuse of a right triangle formed with the horizontal distance from the base of the tower and the height of tower, that is the opposite leg to the angle of elevation.

The tangent of this angle is the ratio between the height of tower and the horizontal distance from the base of the tower.

tangent(52º)= 1.27994163

tangent(52º)= opposite leg/adjacent leg = height of tower/horizontal distance.

height of tower = tangent(52º)*horizontal distance = 1.27994163*180feet

height of tower = 230,4 feet approximately

ANSWER = b.) 230 feet
