The answer is internal heat

Shivering is one of the body mechanism to increase the temperature when the internal heat decreased too much. Muscle contraction will cause movement and some of them will be converted into heat. This will increase the internal heat and lead to higher body temperature if the activity continued for a long time. There will be some calcium and sodium used in the process, not produced.
