You can write out the equation like so: t = 2(d) and the dvd costs d. So, d + 2d = 1296. Which is also 3D=1296. So divide 1296/3 to solve for the cost of the DVD player = 432 and the cost of the tv is 2(d) or 2 x 432 = 864.
