What are two reasons why investors in England were likely unwilling to finance the early voyages of merchants and joint-stock companies to the Americas?

The voyages were very expensive.
The voyages were risky, and there was no insurance to cover the risk.
The investors were only interested in voyages to China.
The investors were more interested in saving money.

Answer:

✓ The voyages were risky, and there was no insurance to cover the risk.

X The investors were more interested in saving money.

Step-by-step explanation:

Plato

I got the second one wrong but the first one was right.

I would say the second answer is probably "The voyages were very expensive"

I feel like “The voyages were risky, and there was no insurance to cover the risk” is the answer. Investors didn’t want to lose money and the only way that they would somehow break even on the cost would be if the voyage found riches.
