A student hypothesized that the green color of plant leaves is related to exposure to sunlight and tested this hypothesis by placing a dark green plant in a dark closet. Three days later, the student discovered that the plant was a much lighter shade of green. Which statement is most likely the conclusion the student reached?

Hi!

The conclusion that was most likely reached was that Sunlight is not the main reason for the rich, green color of leaves, but Chlorofyl is the main contributor towards it. The sunlight most likely contributes towards the shade of green, but doesnt actually make it green.

Hope I Helped!
