Hello!
To change a mixed number to an improper fraction, multiply the whole number and the denominator and add the numerator. The denominator stays the same.
Whole number = 1
Denominator = 6
6 × 1 = 6
Numerator = 5
6 + 5 = 11
That gives you 11/6
