If a test had been done of the solution inside the dialysis tube, what do you think the results would have been? No glucose would be found because it all moved outside the tubing. No glucose would be found because glucose was not placed inside the dialysis tube. The glucose would be found because it would reach an equilibrium.

The right answer is 3 because the dialysate contains glucose

The Quantities important in plasma are:- Neutral solutes: urea, glucose- Cations: Na +, K +, Ca ++, Mg ++- Anions: HCO3 and Cl-
Dialysate's composition is:- Solutes above (except for the solutes that we want to epurate like urea and creatinin).

An equilibrium will be made between the two medium, which let the "wastes" (ions and solutes) to move from the blood to the dialysate.
If the dialysate does not contain glucose, the person will undergo hypoglycemia due to the moving of the glucose from the blood to the dialysate.
