The British attack on Fort Duquesne resulted in
the beginning of the French and Indian War.
The French and Indian War was mainly a fight between the French and British. However, the American colonists sided with the British and several Native American tribes sided with the French. This war resulted in a British victory. However, the debt from this war would result in the British taxing American colonists. This action would help to spark the American Revolution.
