ok so they change the genetic make up of gmo crops and they could potentially alter it so that it wouldn't have the same effect as medicine made from non gmo crops

Hello.. the answer would be : Gene markers that are resistant to antibiotics are used, providing the possibility for humans to have increased antibiotic resistance.
