The midpoint formula is (x1+x2/2),(y1+y2/2), so when you plug the coordinates in you get (1,8), so the answer is D.

Here's how I like to do this type of problem:
-4+6
1. Find the midpoint of K and L, parallel to the x axis: --------- = 2/2 = 1
2
12+4
2. ..... parallel to the y-axis: -------- = 8
2
3. Write the midpoint: It is (1,8)
