The scale on a map is 1in = 0.5 mi the distance between two towns on the map is 5.5 what is the actual distance between the two towns

if one inch is equal to 0.5 and the map shows that they are 5.5 inches away then we can multiply 5.5 by 0.5, which will give us 2.75 miles
