The answer is interstitial fluid. It is derived from blood plasma and fills the intracellular spaces of tissues. It is responsible for nourishing the cells and taking out the waste which is drained out as lymph and joins the blood veins. Interstitial fluid is similar in composition to blood plasma but has fewer proteins in comparison.
