The Constitution was made to protect individual rights and create a basic government structure. Because of that, the Framers created a system that made it harder to change the Constitution but not impossible.

This is good because it avoids despotic governments from amending the Constitution for their benefit, because of that the majority of the Congress has to agree with the changes which avoid absolute power and the diminish of individual rights.
