Oil spills can cause substantial environmental damage. What are examples of the types of wildlife that are affected and the impacts that oil spills have on habitats? Why are oil spills difficult to manage and why do they have long-term impacts?

Greetings!

Oil spills can do a lot of damage to the ocean, and can (of course) kill, or harm a lot of sea life. This might include otters, shrimp, and many other forms of sea life below the surface. On top of that, it takes months, or even years to clean up an oil spill.

Hope this helps!
