Answer: sentence-correction and construction-shift
The ACCUPLACER placement test contains 20 sentence skills questions that belong to two types. The first type is the sentence-correction type. These questions require an understanding of sentence structure, and they require you to pick the best word or phrase for the underlined portion of a given sentence. The second type is construction-shift. This type presents sentences that have to be rewritten according to certain criteria while maintaining the same meaning of the original sentence.
