If n = 3, just replace every n within the expression with the number 3.

-2(5+(3)-8-3(3))

-2(5+3-8-3(3))

-2(5+3-8-9)

-2(8-8-9)

-2(-9)

= 18

Let's simplify the expression

-2(5+n-8-3n)=-2(-3-2n)=(-2)(-3)+(-2)(-2n)=6+4n
Substitute the value of n to the expression:

6+4(3)=6+12=18
Answer: 18
