How do andrew carnegie's views compare with those of social darwinism? would it fair or unfair to classify him as a social darwinism?

Social Darwinism is an economic and social philosophy- holding that a system of unrestrained competition will ensure survival of the fittest. Andrew Carnegie rose to the top of the business world and justified his harsh practices with the method of natural selection.
