The answer would be 1440 tiles. To solve this, convert the length and width of the rectangle to inches by multiplying both by twelve : 8 x 12 = 96 and 10 x 12 = 120. The solve the area of the rectangle by solving length times width : 96 x 120 = 11520. Divide the area of 11520 by the square tiles, which are eight inches, to get your answer : 11520/8 = 1440.
