If 2/3 equals 60 students then to find 1/3 we divide 60 by 2
60/2= 30
1/3 equals 30 students
To find all of the students (3/3) we multiply 30 times 3
30*3= 90

ANSWER:
There are 90 algebra students

Divide 60 by 2/3 to find the class total.

= 60 ÷ 2/3
to divide fractions, multiply by reciprocal of 2/3

= 60 * 3/2
multiply numerators

= (60 * 3)/2

= 180/2

= 90 total students

CHECK
= 90 total * 2/3
= (90*2)/3
= 180/3
= 60 which is 2/3 of class

ANSWER: There are 90 total students

Hope this helps! :)
