Structural-Functionalism

This is a sociological theory that focuses on the ways social institutions meet social need. It is founded on the notion that stability and internal cohesion of societies are necessary to ensure their continued existence over time. In modern, complex societies members perform very different tasks, resulting in a strong interdependence between individuals.
