I advise writing your own answer, but you can loosely base it off of my response if you wish:

"With men being gone, jobs that were predominantly occupied by males were now needing to be filled while the men were off at war. Women stepped out of their comfort zones at the time, and took up jobs such as metal working, industrial and factory work, taxi driving, ect... Women proved their metal from assembling tanks to building homes. "
