Cartilage is a type of supportive connective tissue with a relatively rigid but flexible matrix.
Connective tissue are tissues with usually more matrix than cell volume, often specialized to support, bind and protect organs. They are mostly located in tendons, ligaments, cartilage, bone and blood. they have various function such as; support, binding of organs, physical protection, immune protection, movement, storage, heat production and transport.
