First find the area of the wall.
10x8 = 80
Now find the area of the window.
5x3 = 15
Finally, subtract the area of the window from the area of the wall.
80-15=65.

10 × 8 = 80 squared feet
(wall space)
5 × 3 = 15 squared feet
(area of the window)
80- 15 = 65 squared feet
(the amount of area she will be painting on)
