The correct answer is D.

Imperialism is when a country increases their power and wealth by bringing additional territories under their control. Imperial competition also pushed the countries towards adopting alliances. Before de war, Africa and parts of Asia were points of contention among the European countries. Because they could provide materials.

There was an international conference was held in 1906, where Kaiser who was the last German Emperor and King of Prussia was humiliated and this made him fill with rage because he wanted to be seen as Major power in Africa.
