Which two factors would a biologist need to know to identify an ecosystem?

I know you probably already finished the final, but for future peoples references, I believe it is the biotic and abiotic factors.

The study of the ecosystem comprises of both the living parts and the non living parts that are part of the ecosystem. The living parts are the plants, animals, microbes etc. and are referred to as biotic factors.

Apart from biotic factors, there are other components that play an important role like the soil, water, light, air etc,

The ecosystem is the combined system of both the abiotic and the biotic factors
